Alpha Delta chapter was founded on February 23, 1924. We strive to be the Gentlemen's Fraternity on campus while still balancing school work and a full social calendar. Character, Athletics, Brotherhood and Philanthropy are extremely important to us, and our goal at Pi Kappa Phi is to build better men.
About Pi Kappa Phi
Here at Pi Kappa Phi, we pride ourselves in being the Gentlemen's fraternity on campus. We remain consistently strong in grades, IMA athletics, and participation in the Greek community. It is the goal of Pi Kappa Phi for our brothers to leave after four years as greater men. The men of Pi Kappa Phi are men of CLASS. Character, Leadership, Academics, Service, and Sportsmanship. These five attributes and their acronym symbolize the values of our fraternity. We believe that a balance of character, effective leadership skills, strong academic skills, experience volunteering with PUSH, and athletics, create a well rounded college experience. The acronym class symbolizes the gentlemanly nature of Pi Kappa Phi, treating brothers inside and out of the fraternity with respect. We have been at the University of Washington since 1924, and continue to remain one of the most active houses in the Greek system.

Men of CLASS
Character
The members of Pi Kappa Phi are committed to being strong men of character. Pi Kapps feel that one of the best ways to become men of character is to become a gentleman. We are committed to upholding the ideals of gentlemanly conduct. Whether it be in our interactions with our local community, on campus, with fellow members of the Greek system, or with the members of our own fraternity, Pi Kapps strive to act as gentlemen. As a result of this commitment to gentlemanly behavior, Pi Kappa Phi has earned a reputation with sororities, other fraternities, and on campus as "The Gentlemen's Fraternity."
Leadership
One of the more important aspects of a Fraternity are the opportunities for leadership. Fraternities have a reputation for producing leaders and understandably so. There are many different ways to become involved and take the lead. They can be as simple as making the calls to set up a BBQ with a sorority or as big as coordinating our annual Rose Ball. The opportunities are everywhere and cannot be found in a residence hall or other places of living. While not easy and not for everyone, being in charge of one thing or another builds independence and confidence that are vital to have in whatever you may go on to do later in life. It's these challenges that tend to bring out the best in us and get us prepared for the road ahead. While difficult at times, working for something you will enjoy, only makes the individual that much more motivated. Pi Kappa Phi is excellent at this, and if you think to are ready to accept the challenge and work hard, maybe we are the place for you.
Academics
Here at Pi Kappa Phi, we pride ourselves in being the Gentlemen's fraternity on campus. We remain consistently strong in grades, IMA athletics, and participation in the Greek community. We have been at the University of Washington since 1924, and continue to remain one of the most active houses in the Greek system.
Service
Pi Kappa Phi is the only fraternity in the nation that owns its own philanthropy, PUSH America. Please click here for more information.
Sportsmanship
Pi Kappa Phi athletic teams always compete strongly in intramural sports and sorority athletic tournaments. We field teams for each IMA sport that active members wish to participate in. For the more popular sports we follow the varsity and junior varsity structure. This insures that everyone gets a chance to participate, regardless of their athletic ability. Each spring, sorority tournaments are organized for intra-fraternity competition, from soccer to ultimate Frisbee. We have been highly successful in these tournaments in the past and we will continue be successful into the future.
